Rory McIlroy Wins 2024 Desert Classic by One Stroke

Rory McIlroy Wins 2024 Desert Classic by One Stroke

This past Sunday, Rory McIlroy captured the 2024 Desert Classic title by finishing at -14 under par, just one shot ahead of runner-up Adrian Meronk who posted -13 under for the tournament. This beats the all-time tournament record set by Arnold Palmer.

McIlroy edged Poland's Adrian Meronk by one stroke, as Meronk posted -13 under par for the week in dubai. American Cameron Young finsihed third for the week at -12 under par overall.

This marks the 34-year old McIlroy's third PGA Tour win in the past twelve months, further cementing his world number two ranking. McIlroy previously won the Desert Classic in 2015, 2016 and 2021. This sets him up perfectly for the season and he will no doubt be one of the favourites to win the Masters, the first Major of the season in April.
